Check compatibility

Head connections vary (screw, magnetic or other). Not all heads fit all bodies, and mixing makers may not work. Confirm with the seller before buying a separate head (customisation guide).

Method in general terms

Follow the maker's instructions. Typically: support the body, align the connector, rotate or seat the head without forcing, and check it sits straight and firm. Never force a thread; cross-threading can damage the neck.

Care points

Do not carry the doll by the head, keep connectors clean and dry, and check for wear. Hybrid dolls with silicone heads on TPE bodies need care at the junction (hybrids).

Skin tone matching

Head and body can differ in tone (skin tone options). Ask for photos in daylight.

Seller notes on head types

Joy Love Dolls lists silicone head options separately from bodies, for example an Irontech silicone hard head in US stock at $255 and a "Lola Silicone Head (Movable Jaw)" sold with a torso at $990 (prices as of 2026-10-17). It states that movable-jaw heads are available only on select, typically silicone, head types and should be handled gently to protect the internal hinge (FAQ).
