How to read a brand comparison
A "brand" can mean a factory, a label on a factory's products, or a store reselling another maker's dolls. That is why two stores can show near-identical dolls under different names. When you compare brands, you are really comparing three things: the maker's manufacturing quality, the model you pick, and the seller who stands behind the sale. This guide explains the landscape and links to detailed pages. Our reviews rely on published specifications, seller policies and public owner reports; we do not claim lab testing (methodology).
Who makes dolls
Production is concentrated in Asia, with a few Western and Japanese makers at the premium end. See manufacturers and factories, white-label and reseller brands, dolls made in the USA, Europe and Japan and Japanese brands. Our article on leading manufacturing countries adds context. The brand and factory directory indexes the brands we cover.

Sellers and stores
Brand and seller are different. A good maker sold by a poor seller can still go wrong. One seller we review is Joy Love Dolls; our Joy Love Dolls review covers its range, shipping, payment methods and support, noting that returns are limited to cases such as non-delivery or wrong items (confirm current terms). We also compare it with others: vs Silicon Wives, vs SexyRealSexDolls, vs Madam Dolly and vs Sex Doll Genie. More detail: best sellers, premium TPE models, male collection and AI dolls. >> jl=best | See the Joy Love Dolls best-sellers page and compare each model's listed specs with other brands.

What to compare when choosing a brand
- Material and exact model specification, in writing
- Skeleton and finish quality as shown in real photos (real vs factory photos)
- Warranty length, scope and process (warranty)
- Delivery origin and time (warehouse vs China)
- Support responsiveness and independent owner reports (reading reviews)
- Price relative to material and size (cost guide)
How to build your own brand shortlist
Rather than trust a ranking, build a shortlist in five steps. - Fix your constraints: material, maximum weight, format and budget (buying guide). - Pick three brands that offer them: use TPE brands or silicone brands. - Collect real photos and specs: ask sellers for photos of actual units (real vs factory). - Compare warranty and support in writing: warranty guide. - Check independent owner reports: reading reviews.

Reading a brand when it is also a store
Some brands sell direct. That can mean lower prices but also that the maker marks its own homework in reviews. Compare against resellers (factory direct vs reseller).
Scenarios
### Scenario 1: two stores, same doll, different prices Check photos and model codes. If identical, it is likely OEM. Compare warranty, shipping origin and support, not just price (white-label brands). ### Scenario 2: choosing between a premium Western maker and a Chinese factory brand Compare finish in real photos, warranty and repair availability, then decide whether the difference justifies the gap (RealDoll vs Chinese-made dolls). ### Scenario 3: a brand you have never heard of Run the 12-point check; unknown brand is not automatically bad, but newer brands have less track record.
What brand pages will and will not tell you
Our reviews summarise public information and flag uncertainty (methodology). They do not replace asking the seller direct questions and reading the current terms, which can change. We do not claim factory visits or lab tests.
Regional and format differences
Premium makers outside Asia often make fewer models; Asian factories offer wider ranges. Formats differ too: see format guide. >> jl=all | Browse multi-brand catalogues such as Joy Love Dolls and note the maker named on each model.
Key takeaways
- Many brands share factories; do not assume differences from names
- Judge the exact model and the seller together
- Premium makers charge more for materials, finish and warranty, not magic
- Treat reviews with care; paid reviews exist
- Verify warranty and terms yourself
Frequently asked questions
01Which sex doll brand is best?
There is no single best brand. It depends on material, budget, size and seller support. Compare the specific model, the maker's finish quality and the seller's warranty and support, and use independent reports rather than marketing.
02Do different brands use the same factory?
Often, yes. White-label and reseller arrangements are common, so near-identical dolls can appear under different names. Our OEM guide explains how to spot it.
03Are Western or Japanese dolls better than Chinese ones?
They tend to cost more and are often finished by hand, but quality varies in all regions. Compare workmanship, warranty and support, not origin alone.
04Is a brand review the same as a seller review?
No. A brand describes the maker or label, while a seller determines delivery, warranty and support. Check both.
05How do you review brands?
We use published specifications, seller policies, public owner reports and clear labelling of what we cannot verify. We do not claim laboratory testing.
06Should I buy by brand or by seller?
Consider both. Brand indicates the maker's style; seller determines warranty and support.
07How many brands should I compare?
Three is enough to see differences without paralysis.
08Is a famous brand always better?
Not necessarily. Compare finish, warranty and price for the specific model.
