We do not know when any individual store will run a sale, and we will not guess dates for specific retailers. What we can give you is the fixed calendar of shopping dates that stores tend to build promotions around, and a way to work backwards from the date you want your doll to arrive. Our reference page on the doll sale calendar says discounts tend to cluster around Black Friday and Cyber Monday, seasonal sales and store anniversaries, but timing varies by store.
The fixed dates
For late 2026, these are the dates that do not depend on any store.
- Thanksgiving (US): Thursday, November 26, 2026.
- Black Friday: Friday, November 27, 2026.
- Cyber Monday: Monday, November 30, 2026.
- Christmas Day: Friday, December 25, 2026.
- New Year's Day: Friday, January 1, 2027.
Stores that run promotions often tie them to these dates, sometimes starting days before and ending days after. Whether any given doll retailer does, and how deep any discount is, is something we cannot tell you. Our post on Black Friday 2026 deals explains how to judge a deal on the day, and our post on checking a Joy Love Dolls sale applies the same method to one retailer.
Start from the date you want it
A doll is not a same-day item. Delivery is production time, plus shipping, plus any customs delay, as our delivery time guide explains. If you want a doll to arrive by a particular date, work backwards.
1. Pick the date. A birthday, a holiday, a day you will be home. 2. Ask for the estimate in writing. Production, shipping and the total, with any holiday-season caveat. 3. Add a buffer. Peak weeks are busy for carriers. Our review of Joy Love Dolls states a total of 14 to 20 days for production and shipping, which was the review's statement at the time and not a promise for a sale week. Ask for a current figure. 4. Add customs time. For international orders, a hold is possible. Our post on customs holds explains what to do. 5. Decide whether a sale is worth the risk to your date. A discount that makes the doll arrive after the day you wanted it is not a bargain for that purpose.
Plan for being home
A large parcel is awkward to receive. Our privacy guide and our post on discreet packaging explain how to plan the delivery. In busy weeks carriers may give wider delivery windows. If you will be away over the holidays, consider a courier pick-up point, if the seller and carrier allow it.
Three ways to buy around a sale
Buy before
If you need the doll by a firm date and the sale might push delivery past it, buying earlier at the normal price may be wiser. You give up a possible discount in exchange for certainty.
Buy during
If your date is flexible, sale days are when stores promote. Compare your pre-sale notes, the delivered total and the exclusions. Do not skip reading the returns terms.
Buy after
Some stores discount after the holiday rush. We cannot say whether any will. If waiting costs you nothing, it is an option, but there is no guarantee.
What to record now
Whatever you choose, record prices before the sale. Write the doll price, shipping and any stated duty for your shortlisted dolls, with dates and screenshots. Without a baseline you cannot tell a real discount from a banner. Our post on price trends explains how to build a simple tracking table.
Rules changed this year
Import rules in the US and EU changed in 2026, so a sale price may not be your final price. Our posts on US tariffs and the EU parcel duty explain what changed, including that a Union handling fee is scheduled from 1 November 2026. Always ask for a delivered duty paid total.
Questions to put to a seller before a holiday order
- Is the doll in stock where you say, or made to order?
- What is the production time today, not in general?
- Which warehouse will ship it, and which carrier?
- Is the delivered price duty paid, and is that in writing?
- What happens if it arrives after the date, and what is the returns policy for a late parcel?
Replies that are specific and consistent are a good sign. Vague or shifting answers in a busy week are a reason to wait.
What a good plan looks like
A good plan has a date, a written estimate, a buffer and a fallback. If the doll arrives early, you have time to inspect it properly. If it is late, you have not committed to something that depended on it. That is worth more than a few percentage points off.
Beware of fake urgency and fake stores
Sale weekends attract fake stores, because shoppers expect low prices. Our post on spotting fake stores gives a checklist. Pay with a method that gives you dispute rights, and keep your records.
Comparing retailers
Different stores run different promotions, and some do not run any. Reading our reviews of Silicon Wives, Madam Dolly and Joy Love Dolls gives you a view of each retailer's terms. For a quick look at what one large retailer lists, the Joy Love Dolls catalogue is one place. That is an affiliate link: we may earn a commission if you buy through it, at no extra cost to you, and it does not affect how we describe sale timing.
