About The Company
TrueCompanion.com is a company that sells sex-themed products. They are proud of the fact that they are a retailer of the world’s first sex robot (we will use the term “doll” and “robot” interchangeable in this review so please don’t be confused). As per their website, the sex robot they sell can deliver the ultimate experience in artificial sex. The dolls can carry on basic conversation, respond to verbal cues, and even have orgasms!
The technology comes from a man named Douglas Hines. He designed the company’s first sex robot in 1993 and named her “Trudy.” Of course, like other early prototypes in other industries, the model was not as intuitive as they hoped. They were able to make huge strides after this and now have created models that are amazing in look, features, and quality.
The name of the robot manufacturer is True Companion. They have created a male and female robot and named them Rocky and Roxxxy respectively. The dolls are created with the intention of providing companionship to their owners. They are made to learn the tendencies of their owner via AI; this means that things like preferences and dislikes are all accounted for. There are options on what personality types are used for the dolls and users can make changes whenever they want.
Their website contains a lot of good information. They separated the pages using the following tabs: Who we are, Products/Services, Careers, Contact Us, Email list, Blog, and press. The look of the website is not too appealing to the eye, to be honest. It looks like a site that was made in the early 2000s, and there’s little in the way of dynamic animation or anything of that sort. We hope that TrueCompanion.com sees this review and makes changes to the look of their website immediately.
Sex Doll Selection
They only offer two products on their website: A female and male named doll named Roxxxy and Rocky. The amount of customization on these dolls is very impressive as the customer can choose from a ton of choices from the face, complexion, eye color, etc. What they did is they only have two templates for the body, but they can be fully customized based on the customer’s needs. We see a lot of benefits to this as it gives the buyers flexibility to a certain degree, but the fact that there’s only one template per gender limits the options in terms of body type preference.
The dolls themselves are incredibly packed with features, and you can really tell that they are at the cutting edge of technology, The prices of these dolls are obviously on the higher end because of their features. We thought that it is actually a little too expensive, but some may find them worthwhile investments.
Shipping Information
Shipping takes about 2-3 months before the dolls can be shipped to the customer’s house. The reason for this is because each doll is custom-made per order and takes a lot of time to build. This is too long whichever angle you look at it.
TrueCompanion.com ensures that the information of every buyer is kept secure. They will not disclose the information of the buyer as well as the item bought to absolutely anyone. Purchased orders will have the company name “C Systems” attached to it.
Every sex robot purchased is required to have a monthly subscription for things such as customer support. 24/7 technical support assistance is available for the customer’s convenience.
Returns
Since a lot of time is spent on creating these sex robots, a 5% cancellation fee is set in place and is based on the amount of the product that was bought. The order cannot be canceled once the order starts being produced. All completed sales are considered final, and refunds will not be allowed. This is understandable considering the price of the products and is a fair deal to all parties.
Payment Options
A subscription to the company’s services is required when you buy a doll from the company. The purpose of this is to keep the doll updated with the newest upgrades and to also help the customers with maintenance. The price of shipment for the product within the continental US is $450.00. The shipping fee for orders outside the continental US is $800.00. The customer (from the US) can choose a good variety of payment options; they can pay using: all major credit cards, Money order, Check, or Bank Transfer. Customers outside the US can pay using Checks, Bank transfers, and Money orders. TrueCompanion.com does not accept PayPal payments at the time of this writing.
So, Is This Company Right For Me?
TrueCompanion.com certainly fills the gap for those who are after the latest in sex doll/robot technology. Their products look great and are filled with unique features. These features are amazing and can definitely heighten the sexual experience for its users. There were some issues that need to be addressed though. The biggest one that we found was the 2-3 month waiting time for the order to be delivered; we understand that products as advanced as the ones they offer require time, but 2-3 months is pushing it too far. Overall, TrueCompanion.com is a company that surely has a place in the market, but their aforementioned issues can be a pain to tolerate.
PROS:
– They sell the most advanced sex robot in the market today
– Good customization options for the face, skin color, and other accessory designs.
– The website is full of information on dolls, pricing, terms, and limitations.
CONS:
– The website looks dated especially since they are a company that sells one of the most advanced sex products on the market.
– Limited selection of doll bodies to choose from (2).
– The price of the dolls is way up there. This product is not for first-time buyers on a limited budget.
– Build and delivery time takes approximately 2-3 months. That’s too long of a wait time in our opinion.
– PayPal is not an accepted payment option.
