The schedule
| Frequency | Task | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| After every use | Wash, rinse, dry fully, powder TPE | cleaning, drying |
| Weekly or when handled | Inspect seams, joints, insert, hair | joint care |
| Monthly | Check storage for damp; check skin for tackiness, stains | storage |
| Quarterly | Refresh powder, rotate position in storage | powder |
| Yearly | Deep inspection, wig and makeup, replace consumables | wig, makeup |
What to look for in an inspection
- Small tears or seam splits
- Stains or discolouration
- Tackiness or oily film
- Loose or noisy joints; head drift
- Odour or damp in storage
- Wig tangles; faded makeup
Adjusting the schedule
Use more often means more checks. Hot or humid climates need more frequent storage checks. Silicone may need less powdering. Heated or electronic dolls need extra checks for the electronics.
Record keeping
Keep a note of dates, repairs and any seller contact. It helps with warranty claims (warranty).

A yearly checklist
- Inspect all seams and joints for wear
- Check the insert and replace it if worn
- Review storage for damp, heat and light
- Refresh powder supply and cleaning products
- Review the warranty period and note any claim windows (warranty)
- Check clothing and wig for damage or dye transfer
What to log
A short note with date, task and observation is enough: for example "wash, powder; small tackiness on left thigh". Over a year this shows patterns, such as seasonal tackiness, and helps with seller conversations.
When to escalate
Repeated tackiness, joint looseness that gets worse, tears that grow or persistent odour deserve action sooner than the schedule says (TPE repair, silicone repair).
