The stages of an orderWhy estimates slipHow to track your own orderWhat to ask the sellerWhen it is lateOn arrivalA sample tracking logShould you pay extra for faster shipping?Where to compare termsSummaryThis post looks at sex doll shipping timelines. We have not collected a set of real orders with tracking data, and we are not going to publish invented timelines. What we can do is break an order into its stages, show what the stated estimates in our reviews look like and why they are not guarantees, and give you a method to track your own order. Our reference page on doll delivery time says delivery time is production time plus shipping plus any customs delay; in-stock local items can arrive within days; made-to-order or custom dolls shipped internationally commonly take weeks; get estimates in writing, ask what happens when they slip, and be cautious of sellers who promise unrealistically fast delivery.
The stages of an order
1. Order and payment
The clock starts when the seller confirms payment. Some sellers process quickly, and some wait for a review or a payment check. Our review of Joy Love Dolls says orders are processed within 24 hours of payment, as the review's statement of the policy at the time.
2. Production or picking
If the doll is in stock, this is picking and packing. If it is made to order or customised, it is production, and it can be the longest stage. The same review states a production time of 7 to 10 days. Custom orders and busy periods can take longer, so ask for the estimate for your exact doll.
3. Quality check and packing
Many sellers inspect before dispatch. Ask whether you will receive photographs of the actual doll before it ships. That is also a chance to catch a mismatch before it travels.
4. Transit
The parcel moves by freight or courier. Transit depends on distance, service level and the route. Our review of Joy Love Dolls gives a shipping time of about the same as production, for a total of 14 to 20 days, and our review of SexDolls describes an estimate of about twenty-one days from order to delivery while noting that the courier and timing were not clear. We quote these as what the reviews said, not as current guarantees.
5. Customs, for international orders
A parcel may be cleared quickly, held for payment or paperwork, or inspected. Our post on customs holds explains what to do. Rules also changed in 2026; see our posts on US tariffs and the EU parcel duty.
6. Final delivery
The carrier contacts you or attempts delivery. A large parcel may need a signature, an appointment or a pick-up point. Our post on discreet packaging covers delivery planning.
Why estimates slip
- Production queues. Made-to-order dolls wait their turn.
- Stock mismatch. The listing says in stock, but the item has to be made.
- Holiday and sale peaks. More parcels, slower carriers. Our post on the Q4 sale calendar explains how to plan around them.
- Customs. A hold adds days.
- Address or contact problems. A missing phone number or ID can stop a delivery.
- Weather and transport disruption.
None of these is unusual. A seller that explains them in advance is better than one that promises a date and goes quiet.
How to track your own order
You can build your own timeline, which is more useful than a stranger's.
1. Save the estimate. Record the production and shipping estimates, in writing, with the date. 2. Log each stage. Note when payment was confirmed, when production or dispatch was confirmed, the tracking number, and each tracking status with a date. 3. Screenshot the tracking page at each change. Statuses can be overwritten. 4. Compare with the estimate. If a stage runs over, write to the seller then, not at the end. 5. Keep every message. Dates and wording matter in a dispute.
A simple table with columns for date, stage, source and notes is enough.
What to ask the seller
- Is the doll in stock, or made to order, and where?
- What is the production time today?
- Which carrier, and which service level?
- Will you send photos before dispatch?
- What is the total delivered price, duties included?
- What happens if the estimate slips, and when would a refund or cancellation be possible?
The last question matters most. Our warranty and return guide explains typical terms.
When it is late
- Check the tracking and your email, including spam, for carrier notices.
- Compare with the written estimate. Is it actually late, or still within the window?
- Write to the seller with the order number, tracking number and a screenshot, and ask for a status and a new date.
- Ask the carrier what is outstanding.
- Escalate by the terms. If the estimate has passed by a lot and the seller is silent, check your payment method's dispute window and see our post on spotting fake stores.
- Do not agree to misdeclare to speed things up.
On arrival
Photograph the box before opening, weigh the parcel if you can, and follow our unboxing checklist. Record the date of delivery for any claim.
A sample tracking log
Here is the layout we suggest, without any real order behind it. Make one row per event: the date you recorded it, the stage (paid, in production, quality check, dispatched, in transit, customs, out for delivery, delivered), where the information came from (email, tracking page, chat), and what was said. Add a final column for "matches estimate?" and fill it in honestly. After a few rows you can see exactly where a delay arose, and a clean record is persuasive if you need to raise it with the seller or your payment provider.
Should you pay extra for faster shipping?
Sometimes a seller offers a faster service for a fee. Ask what is actually faster: transit only, or the whole order. Production time is often the longest stage, and an express courier does not shorten it. Ask for the new total estimate in writing before paying.
Where to compare terms
Estimates differ between sellers, and so do the commitments behind them. Our reviews of Silicon Wives, SexDolls and Joy Love Dolls show how three retailers describe shipping. If you want to look at one large retailer's stated terms before asking questions, the Joy Love Dolls best-sellers page is one place to begin. That is an affiliate link: we may earn a commission if you buy through it, at no extra cost to you, and it does not alter our description of timelines.
Summary
An order has stages, and each can run over. Get estimates in writing, keep your own log, ask what happens when a date slips, and treat unrealistically fast promises with caution.
